Data base Management SQL Server 2005

 Backup of Database in SQL Server 2005

On Database Name (For Ex: CTH_CATALOG) Right click then select Tasks then Backup..(under this window) go to Backup set will expire After On (select this) and click Remove button & choose destination on any of the folder on computer to save the file.

Installation Steps in Client place in Server:-

  1. IIS – check IIS is installed or not, for that go to control panel in that Add/Remove programs in that Add/Remove Windows Components in that IIS checkbox should be checked, otherwise install IIS through windows XP service pack 2 CD.
  2. Windows Installer 3.1
  3. SQL CD 1
  4. SQL CD 2
  5. .NET Framework
  6. Crystal Report
  7. AJAX
  8. IE7

In run command
Type inetmgr in that select local computer under that there will be Web Sites (right click) select properties in that select ASP.NET tab there we can find .Net Framework versions as  1 .0 or 2.0.

To create user (for ex: admin) login in Database:

Go to Security under that select Logins Right Click on that select New Login one window will come give Login Name in textbox and then select SQL Server Authentication radio button, after that give password then check Enforce password policy checkbox Next select Server Roles which will be on the left side (top) of the window, here check all checkbox’s.

Giving permissions to ODBC:-

In run command
Type regedit after this go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (in this select) Software (in this select) ODBC (in this select)  ODBC.INI Right click select permissions then click Add button one window will come in that click Advanced button then one window will come in that select click Find Now button there select Everyone and give permissions.



ODBC Names:-
Test: 2JBR-MTP2-6MAS-3HAJ-DZHE-7KC7-VXInventory: (It should be any key its depend on you what key you are giving)

How to set Database backup for 1 day.

Go to Management under that Management plans
right click then select Management Plan Wizard      click Next enter Name in Name textbox then select
SQL Server Authentication enter username & password then click Next then select   Back Up Database (Full) checkbox
then click Next and Next once again one window will come then select Databases (it will be in dropdown list) under that These Databases (radio button) select the Database name click OK, we can select the desired path which ever we want create under a checkbox (sub-directory for each database) then click Next one window will open then click Change button under that give the Job Schedule name and under Frequency select Occurs dropdownlist (select Daily) then finally click OK.
